Hernando's time at Marseille

In the summer of 2011, Hernando was signed by French club Marseille for £4 million from Deportivo La Coruna in Spain. The deal marked the beginning of a successful career for the Spanish international.

Hernando arrived at the Ligue 1 club with high expectations and quickly established himself as a key player in their squad. He made his debut for Marseille in a league match against Lyon on August 15, 2011, and went on to make 77 appearances during his time at the club, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists.
